A king and many more, Oba Saheed Elegushi celebrates 14 years on the throne

The youthful monarch of Ikate kingdom in Lagos, Oba SaheedElegushi marked the 14th coronation anniversary some days ago.

The king who was formerly an aide to President Bola Tinubu when he was the Governor of Lagos ascended the throne of his forefathers when his father, Oba YekiniAdeniyiElegushi died in 2009, and since his ascension, the kingdom has been grateful to have been blessed with his choice as their king.

Elegushi’s fourteen-year reign has brought peace and progress to Ikate kingdom and his people attest to his kindness and how he takes their welfare seriously.

Oba SaheedElegushi has brought different health programmes, granted scholarships and bursary awards to indigenous students, created job opportunities, and staged constant palliative programmes.

Known as one of the most stylish monarchs in the southwest, King Elegushi has used his connections to facilitate jobs and projects that count as part of the many gains of having him as the occupant of the Ikate palace.

His 14th anniversary started with prayers at the palace after which the King threw a feast for his people who came far and near to wish him more successful reign ahead.
