Agege’s Senate Mace Saga, Disgrace To Delta State – Latimore

Asaba – Assistant Deputy Director of Media and Publicity, Campaign Council Management Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Delta State, Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has said that stealing of the Senate Mace allegedly masterminded by the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, was criminal in nature, unpatriotic and an unforgettable disgrace to Urhobo nation, and by extension Delta State

He made the assertion, saying that the good people of Delta State, will not vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate, Senator Agege, because APC national government under President Mohmmadu Buhari, mismanaged insecurity and the nation’s vibrant economy it inherited from PDP in 2015, coupled with the Senate mace theft via alleged multifaceted criminal conspiracies, nepotic tendencies and negative attitudes of the outgoing Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the Red chamber.

Oghenesivbe, who is also PDP campaign council management committee spokesman and Executive Assistant on Communications to the Vice Presidential Candidate of PDP, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, noted that Agege got relected in 2019 through strange and unpatriotic collaborative efforts of unscrupulous individuals, and with the help of certain corrupt political gladiators, adding that it turned out that same powerful political contractors later regretted their actions when it done on them that Senator Agege does not deserve their support.

Oghenesivbe, said the good people of Delta State, and Urhobo nation of Delta Central Senatorial District will obviously vote against APC and Agege at the polls in 2023, to serve as deterrent to other non-performing political parties like APC, as well as to remind Senator Ovie Omo-Agege that he misrepresented his senatorial district by bringing unforgettable shame to Delta State, through the illegal mace running saga, which also projected Nigeria negatively as a country of irresponsible and unscrupulous congressmen at the global stage.

He disclosed that the Sheriffication of Delta State for PDP governorship candidate, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has been strengthened and deepened through the Ward to Ward campaigns across the three senstorial districts; North, Central and South, adding that, the M.O.R.E Agenda of the incoming governor Oborevwori, captures socioeconomic, infrastructure and productive sectors development of the state, so as to advance Delta from where Okowa administration’s Stronger Delta Agenda will anchor on May 29, 2023.

Oghenesivbe, further disclosed that former PDP governorship aspirant, Olorogun David Edevbie and Delta United Group, DUG, remained a vital political pressure group within PDP family, pointing out that a group cannot and will never be greater than the party itself.

He assured that nothing bad or wrong shall come between PDP, Edevbie and DUG, while predicting a total reconcilation and collapsing of political structures by Edevbie and DUG into Delta state PDP campaign Council, on or before the end of December, 2022.

“Senator Ovie Omo-Agege didn’t do well as Senator representing Urhobo nation of Delta Central Senatorial District. He brought shame to the district and to Delta State, through his alleged criminal roles in the mace theft at the National Assembly.

“The video clearly showed Agege escorting the criminals with the mace out of the hallowed chamber, which was why the police fingered him and got him arrested. Instead of sending Agege to Prison, APC national government rewarded him with the position of Deputy Senate President, not minding the shame he brought to Delta State and Urhobo nation.

“Deltans shall do the needful in 2023 by voting out APC and Agege, to demonstrate to the whole world that in Delta State and Urhobo nation, we don’t encourage crime and we do not compensate criminals like APC and Buhari administration did to Agege.

“PDP and our excessive local content incoming governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, will defeat other governorship candidates with a wide margin. The M.O.R.E Agenda captures policies and programmes that will advance Delta State beyond 2023. It’s Oborevwori ‘s social contract with Deltans. He promise to listen more, do more and achieve more for the state and for all Deltans

“As for our amiable former goverorship aspirant, Olorogun David Edevbie and his Delta United Group, DUG, there is no cause for alarm. Edevbie and the group are important components of political family within PDP, and the time is very near for total reconcilation.

“I can tell you for free that Edevbie and DUG shall collapse political structures into Delta PDP Campaign Council within the next one or two weeks, certainly before end of December, 2022. The brains behind DUG shall be part of Advancing Delta through the instrumentality of the M.O.R.E agenda.

“At the federal level, PDP, is on top. We ‘ve got the best candidates in the presidential race; Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa. Square pegs in square holes. They carry enormous grace for Nigeria’s rebirth and progress.

“Both of them are tested and trusted leaders with sound knowledge of the multifaceted socioeconomic, insecurity and other vexed problems imposed on Nigeria by the failed APC national government under the leadership of President Mohmmadu Buhari and Alhaji Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Atiku-Okowa will reset Nigeria and make her great again,” Oghenesivbe assured.
