Always assist the underprivileged, cleric charges politicians

An Islamic cleric, Dr Sabour Ghali Alaaya, has lauded the Senator representing Oyo North senatorial district, Senator Fatai Buhari for assisting the underprivileged and the vulnerable members in the society.

Speaking during the annual Lailatul-kadir (the night of majesty)  of  Sababu Suadai Association, national headquarters, Pakata central market, Ilorin, Kwara State, Alaaya urged wealthy individuals to emulate Senator Buhari’s kindness to other fellow beings.

“The senator’s act reflects the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) who enjoined all wealthy Muslims to always assist the underprivileged members of the community,” he said.

He explained that the senator was a beacon of hope to many households, adding that he increases gesture during the just-concluded Ramadan fasting.

The cleric, who is a lecturer at the Muhyideen College of Education, Ilorin further charged public officeholders and wealthy individuals to always remember that they will one day stand before God to give account of their deeds while on earth.”

Alaaya described the lawmaker as someone who always at home with his people, stressing that Nigeria can be better if all political representatives reflect on the welfare of the electorate.

He urged the senator to sustain the tempo to serve as a model for other political officeholders in Nigeria.
