Bauchi State chapter of the Labour Party (LP) has dissociated itself from the stance of the Forum of the Nineteen States, with FCT Chairmen and Secretaries of the party stating that the Forum is non-existent.National Organising Secretary; National Women Leader; Assistant National Legal Adviser; and Deputy Youth Leader.”
Aliyu Sabitu therefore declared that the entire Bauchi State and other Northern states’ Labour Party Executives are solidly behind the National Working Committee’s (NWC) decision to zone the position of the presidential flag bearer to the southern part of the country come 2027, when the ban on political activities is lifted.”
According to him, “To put the record straight and avoid doubt, the newly elected party officials are the ones that will pilot the affairs of the party for the next four years as enshrined in the party’s constitution.”
The Ag Chairman added, “Furthermore, their records and pedigree show that they are great personalities who understand Nigeria very well and know the importance of carrying everybody along in the scheme of things.”
He stressed that, “Labour party remains the only party that can take Nigeria out of the woods, a hope of the masses and voice for the voiceless of our nation; that is why it fielded the best candidate in person of His Excellency, Peter G. Obi, in the last general elections and knows really well how to manage diversity.”
