Be good ambassadors, Amirul Hajj tells Kogi pilgrims

The Kogi Amirul Hajj, for the 2024 Holy pilgrimage to the Holy land of Saudi Arabia, Justice Siyaka Momoh Jimoh Usman, has admonished Kogi pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the State and Nigeria.

He made this remark at the close of the 2024 enlightenment programme organized by Kogi the State Hajj Commission, also warned them against the japa syndrome.

He appreciated the Governor for the appointment of a capable hand to lead Kogi State Hajj Commission, in the person of Sheikh Luqman Imam Abdullahi.

Justice Usman thanked the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, (NAHCON), for their cooperation with Kogi pilgrims.

He equally Warned pilgrims against involvement in any form of vices, that could tarnish their image, Kogi and Nigeria.

According to an official statement by the Kogi State Hajj Commission, Medical screening for intending pilgrims will commence on Monday 6 May 2024, in central, Tuesday in the East, Anyigba, and Wednesday in the West, Lokoja.
