Don Jazzy: 10 things to know about influential music producer

Michael Collins Ajereh, professionally knowns as Don Jazzy, is a Nigerian record producer, singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur.

Due to his experience and influence in Nigeria’s music industry, Don Jazzy is alternatively called ‘Don Baba’ by some of his admirers. He is highly respected within the Nigerian music industry for his role in shaping contemporary Afrobeats and his keen eye for talent.

Aside from these, there are other things to know about Don Jazzy:

1. Don Jazzy was born on 26 November 1982 in Umuahia, Abia State. His father, Collins Enebeli Ajereh is from Isoko in Delta State while his mother, Mrs Ajereh, was an Igbo princess from Abia State.

2. He co-founded the renowned Nigerian record label Mo’ Hits Records in 2004 with D’banj, producing numerous hit songs and launching the careers of several artists.
