DSS patching me up to prevent my death in Kuje prison – Nnamdi Kanu tells court

The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu on Tuesday informed the Abuja Federal High Court that the Department of State Services, DSS, was preventing his death while in their custody.

Kanu claimed that DSS was patching him up so does not die in their custody.

In his address to Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja, the IPOB leader said the DSS is experimenting with him, giving him medication that is not meant for his condition.

To this end, he urged the court to order his transfer to the Correctional Service in Kuje.

He went ahead to take off his T-shirt showing Justice Binta Nyako, his bare chest and ribs for the court to see how his condition was affecting him.

According to Kanu: “I have congenital heart failure and need surgery, the DSS is patching me up so I don’t die in their custody.

“I should be taken to Kuje correctional facility; I can not defend myself in the DSS facility, I need to consult with my lawyers, I will respond to all charges and the court will see that it is all lies.”
