He commended Akpata’s integrity and suitability for the role, emphasizing the LP’s impeccable record, particularly highlighting Akpata’s tenure as the former Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) President. He also questioned the credentials of other candidates in the race.

Despite his initial disappointment over not securing the LP ticket, Omorodion expressed strong belief in Akpata’s qualifications and fully supported his governorship campaign.

He expressed unwavering confidence in Akpata’s victory in the race for the Dennis Osadebe Government House.

Akpata, who briefly participated in the virtual meeting due to his campaign schedule, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and emphasized the collective effort required for the campaign.

During the Q&A session, Prince Omorodion stated his optimism about the LP’s readiness for the election, adding that the party would deploy agents to all polling units to counter any rigging attempts by other parties.

Additionally, he reassured that the LP would ensure no compromise in the collation and announcement of authentic results.

Addressing the party crisis, Prince Omorodion stated that the worst was over for the LP, noting the expiration of Abure’s tenure as National Chairman and the takeover of the party’s affairs by a caretaker committee.

He further asserted that the previous leadership lacked the legal authority to appoint a chairman for the party in Edo State.
