Speaker of the House of Representatives Abbas Tajudeen has called on Nigerians to continue praying for their leaders and offering their support for a better Nigeria. This appeal was made in his congratulatory message to Muslims marking this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, Abbas emphasized the significance of the celebration, highlighting themes of total submission to higher authority, sacrifice, and charity. He urged Nigerians to embrace these virtues in their daily lives.
Speaker Abbas noted that Eid-el-Kabir holds major significance for Muslims, as it underscores the supremacy of Allah and the importance of sacrifice. He encouraged Nigerians, especially Muslims, to use this period for sober reflection and to always be their brother’s keeper.
He wished Muslims happy celebrations and prayed to Allah to accept their sacrifices.
