First batch of 554 Kano Hajj pilgrims return home today

The Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, has said that all necessary arrangements have been completed for the return of the first batch of 554 state pilgrims today.

The flight will depart from King Abdul-Aziz International Airport in Jeddah today to Malam Aminu Kano International Airport with Kano State pilgrims.

He disclosed that the board has completed all arrangements for their return home on the first flight. He made this assertion in a statement made available to the press during the farewell ceremony for the pilgrims at Kudai Area in Makkah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This follows the schedule set by the Board and Max Air, as seen last week. Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u promised to continue with the arrangement, stating that those who came first would be the ones to go back home first.

The statement disclosed that the local governments shortlisted are Gwale, Dala, Ungogo, and Fagge, respectively.

He urged all pilgrims to remain peaceful and patient. All pilgrims will continue to receive food, medication, and all necessary care until the departure of the last flight.

Alhaji Danbappa, represented by the Director of Hajj Operations, Alhaji Kabiru Muhd Panda, called on those returning to maintain good manners as they did before and to continue praying for the success of this exercise.
