I will use my voice to fight injustice anytime I see it —Uche Ogbodo

Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo, has declared that no one will succeed in silencing her voice in the industry anytime she chooses to speak against any form of injustice when she perceives it.

Asserting her refusal to be silenced now that she has discovered her voice, Ogbodo said it took her a long time to discover her voice in the entertainment industry and she is not ready to keep quiet for anyone now, especially when it concerns the matter of injustice against her colleague.

Ogbodo in a statement made available on Friday declared her intent to confront injustice wherever she encounters it, promising to utilise her voice as a potent tool for advocacy.

“It took me quite a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent,” declared Ogbodo, as she shared a compelling message.

“I will use this voice to propel positivity and justice whenever and wherever I feel or see injustice.”

With this statement, Ogbodo signalled her unwavering commitment to speaking out against wrongdoing, embodying a spirit of empowerment and advocacy within the entertainment industry and beyond.

This declaration comes amid recent controversies surrounding Ogbodo’s support for fellow actor Adanma Luke in the aftermath of a contentious project involving Junior Pope and five of his colleagues who drowned during the shoot of the movie produced by Adanma.

Defending Adanma against accusations, Ogbodo emphasised the need for empathy and solidarity, particularly towards those facing adversity within the industry.

However, not all responses to Ogbodo’s stance have been supportive. Doris Ogala, while expressing her affection for Ogbodo, admonished her for what she deemed as ignorance regarding the consequences of Adanma’s actions. Ogala pointed to the loss of lives associated with Adanma’s project and insisted on holding her accountable for her choices.

Despite differing opinions, Ogbodo maintained that she remained steadfast in her commitment to addressing injustice and fostering positive change.
