JDPC Ibadan seeks action on Disability Law, holds panel discussion

In furtherance of its work to achieve social justice and egalitarian society, the Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) Ibadan, will hold a discussion on the law on persons with disabilities.

The event entitled: Discrimination Against Persons Disability (Prohibition) Act, 2018:

Level of Compliance So Far is aimed at stimulating action and reaction in the public and private sectors of Nigeria.

The JDPC said it observed that the Disability Act has implementation challenge as there are hardly facilities in place in many public and private institutions, for inclusive living.

The panelists to discuss this observation would include stakeholders among whom are people living with disabilities. They are Adenike Ibitara of JDPC; Raheem Yussuf of Yutex Global Concept and Ayodele Adekambi, DG, OYSAPWD. The Moderator would be Fola Awoyemi.

They would look at what has happened so far and further arouse and stimulate more conversations and action on the law.

The event, which will be by ZOOM, will hold on Tuesday, 30 April, 2024 at 2PM.
