Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has issued a stern warning, stating his intent to authorize the execution of individuals found guilty of providing information to bandits operating in the state.
During a visit to Tudun Bichi in Wasagu Chiefdom of Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area on Saturday, Governor Idris expressed his deep concern over bandits’ continuous attacks and condemned the reprehensible actions of informants aiding them.
Furious at the betrayal by informants, the governor unequivocally stated his determination to sign the death warrant of any informant convicted of collaborating with bandits.
Idris denounced the immoral conduct of informants who betray their communities for personal gain, emphasizing that such actions go against societal norms and religious teachings.

He asserted, “I will not tolerate or show leniency towards such unscrupulous individuals. Let it be clear to all informants that if anyone is found guilty of providing information to bandits that leads to the loss of innocent lives, I will not hesitate to authorize their execution immediately.”
The governor’s firm stance underscores his commitment to combatting banditry and ensuring the safety and security of the people of Kebbi State.
