Lagos govt repatriates 371 miscreants to their states of origin

The Lagos State Government has repatriated 371 miscreants who sought assistance to relocate to their respective states due to hardship in Lagos.

This decision follows the recent controversy over the alleged deportation of Osun State indigenes over the weekend.

According to a press release by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho, a total of 450 individuals were apprehended under the Dolphin Estate Bridge.

Out of these, 371 requested assistance to return home, while 79 were taken in for rehabilitation due to health concerns.

The government emphasised that the continuous inflow of miscreants and destitute into Lagos poses a threat to the security of lives and property.

The measures taken aim to address this issue and ensure residents’ safety and well-being.
