Maradun LGA administrator employs 50 primary teachers in Zamfara

The Sole Administrator of Maradun Local Government Area in Zamfara State, Hon. Yahaya Giwa Maradun, has employed 50 teachers who are indigenes of the area to teach in primary schools.

The Executive Chairman of the Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), Professor Nasir Garba Anka, commended him for his efforts to improve education at the grassroots level in the area.

Prof. Nasir Garba Anka made this commendation in his remarks while witnessing the presentation of appointment letters to the appointed teachers by the Sole Administrator.

According to the Executive Chairman, this gesture is in line with the present administration’s efforts to boost the education sector in the respective 14 local government areas of the state. He called on other local government Sole Administrators in the state to emulate Hon. Giwa Maradun’s initiative. He assured the recruited teachers of his necessary support and assistance to enable them to deliver on their new responsibilities.

He further charged the recruited teachers to work hard and contribute their quota to the development of education in Maradun and Zamfara State in general.

Early in his address, the Sole Administrator of Maradun Local Government Council, Hon. Yahaya Giwa Maradun, said that this effort is part of his contribution to boosting the state education sector, especially since he himself is a teacher.

“I am here today to complement the efforts of the administration of Governor Dauda Lawali for declaring a state of Emergency on Education in Zamfara State, including Maradun Local Government,” he explained.

Hon. Giwa further stated that his administration will continue to provide avenues that will help and promote education in Maradun Local Government and Zamfara State at large.

He added that all the 50 new teachers will enjoy a monthly remuneration of N20,000 from his council, and urged the Executive Chairman of ZSUBEB to provide all necessary support to enable them to discharge their duties effectively.

The Executive Chairman of ZSUBEB, Professor Nasir Garba, was accompanied to witness the occasion by the board’s Permanent Member, Hon. Rufa’i Muhammad Jibiril, Director of School Services, Alhaji Garba Abdullahi, Director of Special Programs, Nasiru Muhammad Anka, and the Staff Officer of the board.
