Mohbad’s mother seeks Tinubu’s intervention over alleged threat to life

Mother of the late Hip Hop singer, Ileri Oluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, Mrs Abosede Aloba, has cried out and sent a Safe our Soul (SoS) message to Nigerians, especially, President Bola Tinubu and the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, over an alleged plan to kill her and other members of the family.

Mohbad’s mother raised the alarm in a recent viral video, where she allegedly mentioned some acquaintances as masterminds of an alleged plot to get rid of her, the wife of the late singer, Wunmi, and the son, Liam.

This was just as a group, under the aegis of Justice For Mohbad Movement Group (JMMG), in its reaction to the same video, described it as unfortunate, noting sadly that the same group of people that had been threatening the wife of the late singer, Wunmi and her son, Liam were now doing same thing to the mother of late Mohbad.

The late singer’s mother, Mrs. Aloba, while making the call to President Tinubu, Governor Sanwo-Olu, and Nigerians in general said she had been inundated with several calls and attacks, saying that the threat to her life and that of her children was becoming very unbearable and, therefore, the need for her to speak up and raised the alarm.

According to her, those allegedly involved had since been on her trail, stalking around and intruding on her privacy, saying that she could no longer sleep or move freely without receiving calls from these people.

“That is why I am raising the alarm to seek justice for the soul of my late son and to also seek protection from the Lagos state government over the daily threats to my life and that of my children.

“I am still mourning the death of my son, however, don’t let them kill me and my children,” she pleaded.

Reacting to the development, JMMG spokesperson, Ibrahim Koleosho also known as King White, while expressing concern about the alleged plotvowed that the group was poised to fulfill its mandate of seeking justice for the soul of the late Hip Hop star.

JMMG, while giving the stand, said that a grieving mother and wife deserved the people’s compassion and respect, pointing out that it was “unfortunate that some people masquerading as sympathisers decided to unleash various cyber attacks and threats to the victims of their unjust sympathy, we are not going to fold our arms.”

“We will continue to seek justice for the soul of the late singer and at the same time support the bereaved in their times of difficulties.

“We are also appealing to the Lagos State Governor, His Excellency, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the good people of Nigeria to rally round the mother of Mohbad and the wife to ensure that they are protected against those that are threatening their lives,” JMMG said.

“Remember the late singer, Mohbad raised similar alarm during his short but eventful years on earth, but nobody took him seriously until we lost him in such controversial circumstances.

“So, as the late singer’s mother is crying out now, we appeal to the law enforcement agencies to do the needful by investigating the alleged threats to her life and bring those involved to book, as that is the only way to seek justice for the soul of the late singer as well as protect the mother and the wife against unforeseen attack,” the group added.
