Naira Abuse: No need to run when EFCC invites you — Cubana Chief Priest

Nigerian celebrity figure, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has urged citizens not to evade invitations from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) but to comply willingly.

Recall that Cubana Chief Priest was recently released on bail by a court in connection with an alleged Naira abuse. The socialite, facing three counts of Naira abuse, entered a plea of not guilty during his court appearance before Justice Kehinde Ogundare at the Federal High Court, Lagos.

However, amidst reports of a former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, being declared wanted by the EFCC for evading arrest and skipping a court hearing, Cubana Chief Priest took to Instagram to praise the agency.

Encouraging Nigerians to cooperate with EFCC invitations, he stressed the importance of facing legal processes head-on rather than attempting to evade them.

He wrote, “The Eagle will always fly so high to catch you wherever you hide, No need to run when @officialefcc invites you, just pull up and answer them, they don’t bite, they don’t beat, they only investigate and prosecute.

“For their cell bed dey, toilet & bathroom Dey, even breakfast, lunch & dinner is served so tell me why are you running…. how long will you run….na big man location Efcc Be. For me, It’s a status symbol.”
