Nigerian Army to conduct sensitisation tour in Ondo, Oyo

The Army Headquarters, Department of Army Administration, is set to conduct a sensitisation tour and advertisement campaign for the 87 Regular Recruit Intake (RRI) exercise in Ondo and Oyo states, located in the southwestern part of Nigeria.

The sensitization and advertisement tour is scheduled to take place in the two states from Monday, May 6, to Saturday, May 11.

According to a statement by the Acting Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Colonel Polycarp Okoye, the tour is designed to engage with relevant government agencies for the sensitization of young Nigerians interested in joining the Nigerian Army.

It aims to educate them about the basic aims and objectives of the Army and guide them on the appropriate application procedures.

Lt. Col. Okoye further explained that the tour is also intended to inform prospective candidates and encourage able-bodied Nigerian youths, through these agencies, to join the Army in defending the nation’s territories.

The Nigerian Tribune learned that the Nigerian Army is conducting similar exercises across other geopolitical zones of the nation.
