Nigeria’s Galaxy Backbone data centre gets Tier IV certification

The Galaxy Backbone data centre has received the Tier IV Certification of Constructed Facility (TCCF) from Uptime Institute Professional Services, according to the government-owned technology company.

The Tier IV certification, according to the company’s MD/CEO, adds to Galaxy Backbone’s existing Tier III Uptime certified Data Centre in Abuja, underscoring the technology company’s commitment to expanding its services and capabilities to meet the increasing demand for reliable and secure digital infrastructure.

“It also bolsters Galaxy Backbone’s drive for data sovereignty, encouraging both public and private organisations to host and collocate their IT applications within Nigeria.
