Preparations are underway for the investiture of Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Ondo, Chief Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, as the pioneer chancellor of the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Babura in Jigawa.
This was announced in a press statement signed by the Secretary of Information and Publicity, Mr Mustafa Ibrahim, and made available to Tribune Online in Dutse, Jigawa State capital.
According to the statement, the investiture ceremony will take place on Saturday at the permanent site of the university along Kano Road, Babura Town, Babura Local Government Area, Jigawa.
Additionally, the university will also hold its matriculation ceremony for successful candidates who gained admission for the 2023/2024 academic session.
Prior to the investiture, the prospective chancellor will pay a courtesy visit to the Governor of Jigawa, Malam Umar Namadi, at the Government House and the Emir of Dutse on Friday.
The investiture ceremony will follow on Saturday.
