Speaker of the House of Representatives,Tajudeen Abbas has congratulated the Super Eagles for progressing to the quarter finals of the African Cup of Nations after defeating Cameroon by two goals to nil.
Speaker Abbas expressed optimism that with the quality of play by the Super Eagles, the team would do the nation proud when they meet Angola in the quarterfinals.
Similarly, Deputy Speaker House of Representatives Benjamin Kalu says the victory of the Super Eagles has reinforced a sense of unity and patriotism among the citizenry.
The Deputy Speaker called on the Super Eagles to neither retreat nor surrender in their winning streak, until the trophy is lifted and brought back home.
