SWAN Commends Minister Enoh for Team Nigeria’s Success at African Games

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has applauded Team Nigeria’s remarkable performance at the recently concluded 13th African Games in Ghana.
Mr. Isaiah Benjamin, President of SWAN, expressed satisfaction with Nigeria’s overall performance during a post-African Games World Press Conference in Abuja. He attributed the team’s success to the strategic and proactive measures implemented by the Ministry of Sports Development’s leadership, particularly lauding the efforts of Minister John Owan Enoh.
Reflecting on Nigeria’s podium achievements in recent editions of the Games, President Benjamin highlighted the significant strides made by the country in the 13th edition, which positioned Nigeria prominently.
With an impressive second-place finish out of 52 participating countries, Nigeria secured 47 Gold, 33 Silver, and 41 Bronze medals.
“I must commend the exceptional human management skills exhibited by the Honourable Minister, Senator John Owan Enoh,” stated President Benjamin. “Despite the limited time athletes and officials had in camp before the event in Accra, the ministry’s leadership ensured meticulous attention to the athletes’ welfare and other logistical arrangements.”

He further praised the dedication and efficiency of ministry and team officials, noting their outstanding performance in fulfilling their responsibilities. President Benjamin also acknowledged the Ministry’s effective communication strategy, facilitated by Minister Enoh’s media team, which ensured that journalists were well informed throughout the event.
SWAN’s commendation underscores the collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Sports Development and other stakeholders in promoting Nigeria’s success in sporting events, reflecting a shared commitment to excellence and national pride.
