Tecno Pocket Go, world’s smallest AR handheld gaming console, makes market debut

Tecno, a global phone maker, has introduced its first Windows gaming handheld console, the Tecno Pocket Go, designed to complement its Augmented Reality (AR) Vision glasses.

The Pocket Go aims to redefine gaming on the go by creating a new gaming environment in a handheld PC form within the AR industry, seamlessly integrating with the Windows gaming ecosystem and utilising advanced head tracking technology, according to its maker, Tecno.

What’s inside the Tecno Pocket Go?

The Pocket Go aims to redefine gaming on the go by creating a new gaming environment in a handheld PC form within the AR industry, seamlessly integrating with the Windows gaming ecosystem and utilising advanced head tracking technology, according to its maker, Tecno.

The AR Vision offers a 6D immersive gaming experience, including vision tracking, adaptive posture, enhanced sound quality, ultra-precise vibration, audio vibration enhancement, and sensory synchronisation. It also supports phones without a display port, as revealed by the brand.

In terms of display, the Tecno Pocket Go boasts a 0.71” micro-OLED 2k screen that can match the viewing angle of a 215-inch TV from six meters away. The handheld device is 50% smaller and 30% lighter than other Windows gaming handhelds.

Equipped with a replaceable 50Wh battery, 16GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, the device features an 8-core, 16-thread CPU with frequencies up to 5.1 GHz and an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor.
