Oke highlights the need for a candidate with unparalleled political experience, competence, and popularity to secure victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election

Olusola Oke, a prominent governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the upcoming Ondo State governorship election, has asserted that securing the party ticket will not be a straightforward task.
Addressing the public in Akure over the weekend, Oke emphasized that party leader President Bola Tinubu will not impose any candidate during the APC primary scheduled for April. He underscored the importance of having a candidate with unparalleled political experience, competence, and popularity to secure victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
Oke highlighted the broader significance of the governorship, stating, “The governorship of a state is no longer confined to the state alone; both the party leadership and the national leadership will be interested. If this contest were to be influenced solely at the local level, I firmly believe that the people of Ondo State are eager for my leadership.”
Expressing confidence in Tinubu’s approach, Oke stated, “President Bola Tinubu is a man who considers acceptability, popularity, capacity, and other factors to ensure the party’s success and excellence in governance. He won’t arbitrarily choose a candidate without due consideration.”
In outlining his vision for Ondo State, Oke emphasized the need for a determined and focused individual as the next governor. He urged a departure from the status quo, emphasizing the necessity for proactive leadership to propel the state forward.
