Fulfil constitutional socio-economic rights of Nigerians , SDP’s Adebayo urges Tinubu

The candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2023 presidential election, Barr Adewole Adebayo, has urged the Nigerian government to fulfil the socio-economic rights of Nigerians as dictated by Chapter two of the constitution to address the challenges confronting the country.

Chapter two of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria technically called Fundamental Objectives and Directive Principles of State Policy, is specially dedicated to the socio-economic rights of Nigerians which must be vigorously pursued by the Nigerian Government.

According to him, Nigeria will be a different country if this chapter of the constitution is followed by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

He stated that using the manifesto party as a guide in government won’t take the country to the desired height.

He said, “What I will do is broaden the philosophy of don’t follow the party manifesto. Follow the constitution. Know that if you want to be president,  you must follow chapter 2 of the Constitution. If we follow that, Nigeria will be a different country.”
