The Zamfara State commissioner of Women, Children and Social Development, Dr Nafisa Muhammad Maradun has emphasised the importance of child protection law, saying that her ministry will not be function as required without the child protection statute.in collaboration with UNICEF.Zamfara state is please to be a part of the process of developing an implementation plan for the Zamfara State Child Protection law, UNICEF as been on the fore front in the promotion of improving the total wellbeing of Children in Zamfara State.
He added that implementation plan will spell out the roles of different government ministries, departments, agencies as well as CSOs in providing services for children in Zamfara State.
“We implore all stakeholders to collaborate for a fruitful deliberation and internationally accepted plan.”
