Lagos Assembly members felicitate Otunba Adedeji Busura-Alebiosu on 88th birthday

Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Ganiyu Okanlawon Sanni and Hon. Femi Saheed, have felicitated a member of the Governance Advisory Council (GAC), Otunba Adedeji Busura-Alebiosu, on his 88th birthday celebration, describing him as a political phenomenon who should be celebrated as a destiny helper to many politicians who came across him.

Sanni and Saheed, both representing Kosofe I and Kosofe II, respectively, at the Lagos State House of Assembly, stated this during the birthday celebration of the GAC leader held at his residence in Lagos.

Speaking with newsmen at the event, Sanni, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government Administration, said that Otunba Alebiosu, popularly known as Baba Bush, had positively impacted so many lives through politics, “which requires we give back to him by celebrating him.”

The lawmaker maintained that the elder statesman had done a lot to bring about good governance and deepen democracy in the country, urging that the younger generation “embry these character traits in him.”

“He has impacted so many lives through politics; he has done so much for a lot of us, which requires we give back to him by celebrating him. I also want to encourage those of us who are younger to emulate these character traits in him.

“The story of Lagos cannot be complete without the Baba; he has done so many things in many ways to bring about good governance and deepen democracy. Even our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I am sure, will tell you the role he played as a political strategist,” Sanni said.

In the same vein, the Chairman of the House Committee on Finance, Hon. Saheed, representing Kosofe II, equally described Otunba Bush as a destiny helper and a political connector who should be emulated.

“Otunba Busura Alebiosu is a political phenomenon who has been a destiny helper to many politicians who came through him.

“He has helped so many realise their ambitions and destinies in life; he has brought many destinies alive. All we can do is celebrate him,” the lawmaker said.

Otunba Alebiosu, who is also the Chairman of the Council of Otunbas in Ijebuland, said while speaking that it had been rough for him but thanked the Almighty Allah for sparing his life to see his 88th birthday.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, however, charged young politicians to emulate the spirit of honesty and integrity, which he said had been his watchword all through.
