Redline Rail to begin test run in seven days, says Lagos Govt

Omotoso also announced plans to address connecting roads to rail and ferry terminals to facilitate easy access

The Lagos State government has disclosed that the Redline Rail from Agbado to Iddo will begin a week-long test run.
The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, made the disclosure at a press briefing on Thursday, organized to kick off the 2024 Ministerial Press Briefing by the State’s Ministries, Directorates, and Agencies.
The yearly program is an avenue for members of the State Executive Council to report on their stewardship to Lagosians.
During the week-long test run, various groups and stakeholders will be invited to ride the train and experience the service it will offer.
Omotoso also announced plans to address connecting roads to rail and ferry terminals to facilitate easy access.

He also revealed that foreign investors will arrive next week to discuss the Fourth Mainland Bridge and the Lekki Airport, which are set to change Lagos’ economy.
The T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda’s developmental pillar remains central to the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administration’s mandate to deliver dividends of democracy to Lagosians
