Ondo: APC aspirant, Ohunyeye, mourns Akintelure, suspends political activities

A frontline governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress  (APC), Felix Olamide Ohunyeye, has expressed sadness over the sudden death of a co-aspirant, Dr. Paul Akintelure, saying all his political activities have been put on hold.

A statement personally signed by Ohunyeye stated that among the political engagements that will be put on hold are a scheduled media parley and a tour of some wards across the state.

He said , “I received the sad news of the sudden demise of an astute political leader and an illustrious son of Ondo State, Dr. Paul Akintelure, this with disbelief, a rude shock, and a heavy heart.

“Indeed, Dr. Akintelure was a perfect gentleman without blemish, both as a political icon and a foremost medical practitioner.

“In his lifetime, Dr. Akintelure demonstrated uncommon determination and resilience towards the development of Ondo State and its people.

“He will surely be remembered for his immense contributions to the development of Ondo State and Nigeria at large. 

“With a heavy heart, I solemnly commiserate with the family, friends, and associates and the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on the exit of this irreplaceable and impactful leader.

“My dear Egbon Paul Akintelure. I pray that the Almighty God grants him eternal rest and has mercy on his soul.”
